A locally-owned shop providing a wonderful showcase for the exceptional talent of local and international artisans, Shady Lane was founded over 40 years ago by artisans Alice and Rick Deutscher to offer their own creations.

Shady Lane is a great place for someone who loves the power of stones. There is always someone there to help you learn about the benefits of the different stones. The jewelry is beautiful and the raw stones and crystals are of high quality.

One day while I visited Sharon Heights Shopping Center the freestanding shop near Starbucks which I usually passed by without notice caught my eye. Sparkling like a gem, it drew me like a magnet, Shady Lane had just moved in. I had to explore and entered a delightful space filled with lovely treasures! As someone who practically grew up in this shop, I’ve always known this lovely shop to be excellent. A great family like atmosphere combined with excellent service and excellent gifts and jewelry makes for one of the best places to shop in the Bay Area.

After a couple times in the store, my girlfriend and I finally brought something home... A beautiful men's bracelet made of silver, copper, and leather. The owner, Alice, has curated a wonderful selection of artistic gifts that are perfect for those special people in our lives. Well... we picked the perfect piece because the bracelet was a hit! Plus shopping was a breeze - easy parking and terrific customer service.
