More than a decade old, Seven Stars enthralls Providence with the freshest of breads every day. The bakery is committed to using fresh local ingredients for their creations and has staunchly supported local vendors. Also, before the shutdown, upper management was trying to figure out a way to reduce the starting wage to below minimum wage since the tip rate had gone up so much with the introduction of credit card tips. They wanted to capitalize on the fact that their customers were paying their employees a living wage and argued that the staff should make a "tipped wage" instead. That is parasitic.

I loved the bread and the amazing FOH staff here but learning that Seven Stars has capitalized on the pandemic to slash wages and salaries of loyal employees while hiring more staff to open two new locations has turned me off for good! This is a time to serve the community and that starts with doing right by workers! What a shame.

My favorite item to buy is the Coconut Macaroon because it's so delicious! And it's dairy-free, which works well for me!
