Good counseling I would definitely choose Serenity again because of how great the counseling was and how comfortable it was. It reallly felt like home, and I feel like I was given the tools I need to stay sober in my regular life.
Treatment for daughter I definitely recommend Serenity Acres to anyone looking for help for a family member or themselves. We sent my daughter here as a last ditch effort. Her addiction was ruining her life and tearing apart our family. But the therapy she received here, and the high level of care, really made a difference.
Caring staff THANK YOU so much to all the staff at Serenity. Everyone was so kind and understanding, and really seemed to care about me as a person. I also loved the holistic therapies like the yoga and meditation, they really added to the program here.
Well Rounded Therapy I am so grateful for my time here. Between the counselors and the holistic therapies, I definitely got the focused and thorough treatment that I needed.
Lots of therapy Serenity Acres provided a lot more therapy than other facilities I've been to. The amount of face time I got with both my counselors really helped me work through old issues. Plus the additional holistic therapies were a great addition to the whole process. I willl definitely be leaning on those a lot when I leave here, especially the yoga and meditation.
----- Getting into a routine was very useful for my recovery. having a set bedtime and wakeup time is something I will definitely carry with me. I also liked having a scheduled mealtime, which is very comforting for someone with an eating disorder. Morning process was a great way to start the day too.
........ Because of SA my willingness to continue in recovery for myself and not just for my family has changed. I am also dealing with my problems better than I have in the past.
Twelve Step Program I know now that the 12 step meetings do work.
Nice facility Very homely, not like a hospital setting. So much to offer.
