In April of this year I had to place my 101 year old mother into the Jerome Home skilled nursing facility in New Britain CT. Since the private pay trust money was not going to last too long Senior Planning Services was recommended to assist with the Medicaid application submittal process. So I had a call with SPS and then sent them the $8,000 fee. I provided the 5 years of financial records as requested. Unfortunately my mother passed away last week. I found them to be totally unethical in their dealings. I paid them thousands of dollars way too early in the process of them doing Medicaid paperwork for my mom. Shame on me for not knowing, but they did. My mom passed away before they did anything substantial. They refused to refund any amount of money. Shame on them. Truly disgusting. I would NEVER recommend them!
