I would not recommend the York PA facility for any critical care patients!! My brother was transferred here to recover from a tracheotomy. This transfer was planned for several days; he was transferred by ambulance with a nurse. Within 3 hours of his transfer, I received a call telling me my brother coded and should they continue chest compressions. Then I was told if I wanted to say goodbye to my brother I better hurry and get there!! I was in such shock, I wasn't sure what...Continue Reading
From the time I arrived here at the brookwood Birmingham al location I couldn’t have asked for better nurses and staff . I was treated like family not a patient. Everyone here went above and beyond the call of duty . This has been one of the best hospital stays I’ve ever had and with my copd I’ve seen my fair share . If I ever need the medical treatment again I will be coming back here to get my treatment and highly recommend them to others. The nurses are super awesome and really care about you.
This is the worst hospital we have ever put a family member in. The nurse and aides are rude, slow to answer the buzzer when you ring for them even if your family member has a history of difficulty breathing (which you would think would get a faster response). It is dirty, I have pictures of gauze type wipes with blood on them laying on the floor, empty wrappers left laying from equipment used.
