My wife and I dined in the Tavern last evening. We are not 'regular' customers but do dine there occasionally. Everything was impeccable from start to finish. Zander was our server ( assisted by Ben) and he was remarkable. His knowledge and comprehension of the menu and its components was commendable. The food was amazing (as always) and a credit to Daniel's craft, creativity, and skill. A thoroughly enjoyable evening in all respects. Highly recommended and 5Stars
Service was excellent. They made our 9th anniversary such a special evening. Hand signed menu from the chef, as well as a special corner booth downstairs. The prime rib & lamb were especially excellent. Thank you for a wonderful meal. Would highly recommend for special occasions.
Probably best bang for your buck in Raleigh. High end food, good portions and fair prices. Would recommend 5/5.
Exceptional service, excellent food. Not pretentious at all. This is the place to go for any special occasion (we went for my husband’s retirement). Make reservations as far in advance as you can because they fill up fast. Inside and out, a beautiful setting for a memorable evening. Enjoy!
The best meal my wife and I have ever had. Everything was absolutely perfect. If you're looking for a high end dinning experience. Second Empire has it.
