Our ice cream company was started in 1984. The first location to open was in the Riverplace development and was named Fratelli, meaning brothers in Italian. The three brothers; Tim, Todd and Michael, were among the first to bring a super premium locally made ice cream to Minneapolis. The ice cream was, and still is, made in small batches to provide for the freshest product. After a few years of success at this location the brothers opened another location at the corner of Franklin and Hennepin and named it Sebastian Joe???s ... read more

YUMMY! – I love this place. Though there isn't much seating available...it doesn't matter. The ice cream tastes the same standing up. I love the variety they have...they're REALLY busy so, sometimes you can't really try most of the flavors you're considering. However, anyone that you choose will be a perfect selection.
Overrated – The ice cream is good quality, but the flavor selection has always left a lot to be desired. They are trying to be too frou-frou. Garlic in ice cream? Give me a break. They need a lesson from the Edina Creamery and the Grand Old Creamery.
Raspberry – The greastest raspberry chocolate ice cream ever! If you don't like raspberries, then there are always atleast 10 others to choose from.
Great Ice Cream, Great Place! – Joe's has great selection and wonderful ice cream. It deserves to be rated #3 in the Twin Cities behind Grand Ole Creamery in St. Paul and my top pick, Cold Stone Creamery in Maple Grove and soon coming to Block E on 7th & Hennepin. The Twin Cities is blessed to have this many "super premium" ice cream stores. Prices may seem high but to only those who will eat anything if the price is cheap enough.
Was a bit disappointed – The flavor was great, but for $3.50, you should have ice cream in your cone. I did get one scoop, and that's all it was, sitting on top of an empty waffle cone. I wouldn't go back because I thought it was overpriced for the little bit I got... but if I was desperately craving ice cream and was in the area, I would succumb.
