Our ice cream company was started in 1984. The first location to open was in the Riverplace development and was named Fratelli, meaning brothers in Italian. The three brothers; Tim, Todd and Michael, were among the first to bring a super premium locally made ice cream to Minneapolis. The ice cream was, and still is, made in small batches to provide for the freshest product. After a few years of success at this location the brothers opened another location at the corner of Franklin and Hennepin and named it Sebastian Joe???s ... read more

Delightful, quality, home-made ice cream in charming, friendly, settings. Great coffee, too! – Rotating selection of ice cream flavors with favorites always available. Now they are roasting their own coffee beans as well. Sometimes they even have coffee flavored ice creams! Yay! A marriage made in heaven. (velocityno9 needs to get a life or learn how to eat ice cream)
Not very good! – The lady behind the counter was rude. The ice cream was too runny (I know that might sound stupid, but it IS possible to keep it at a temperature and consistency so it doesn't get EVERYWHERE right away). The cones are too small for the ice cream scoops, they need to make them to be more accommodating. My hands were sticky from the dipped cone and the ice cream before I finished paying. They were out of napkins at the counter. Waaay overpriced ($5-6 per cone). The ice cream wasn't that good, very lacking in f... read more
Best Beverage. – The best coffee drink I have ever had was a cold-press soy iced latte from Sebastian Joe's. Delish. :)
Amazing Flavor and outdoor seating – Great service, outdoor seating directly in front and on the side(s). Many Ice cream flavors (all hand made) to choose from.
Best Icecream in town!!! – This my absolute favorite icecream place in the Twin Cities. They just renovated the Linden Hills location and added a cute outdoor porch and fireplace. There is always a new icecream to try but its so hard to not order my favorite the Pavarotti (Banana, caramel and chocolate!) when you know how good it is! I take all my out of town friends to Sebastian Joe's- its a Cities icon!
Best ice cream ever! – I've been a fan of ice cream since age 6 and aside from cream and dream in prague, this is the best ice cream I've ever had. I love the oreo and pavoratti. If you're feeling a little daring, try a scoop of chocolate coyote with a glass of water.
Family-owned ice cream shop specializes in unique flavors and fresh ingredients. – In Short This sparse and casual space has a few tables and a small performing area at one end of the room. Long a cool spot for people-watching; always a popular destination when the dew point climbs high. Both new spins and old favorites are on the ice cream list of more than 80 flavors. Traditionalists love the heady vanilla, which uses ground beans instead of extract. The daring try ginger-cream or spicy cayenne-laced chocolate coyote.
In my dreams... – I like the classics. Sure the Oreo is what everyone always wants but have you ever tried the chocolate? Just plain chocolate? I loved it growing up and when I moved to Seattle I had fantasies for years about having it shipped to me by the crate. No one makes their chocolate with such care to create such simple lovely chocolaty flavor. If you haven't tried it, get yourself a scoop and enjoy the discounts for the unbearable winters and relatively recent addition of computers for free internet access. Also the... read more
Dog Friendly and awesome coffee – My first coffee experience when i moved to the USA, became a coffee addict. Tried 'em all, Seb J's has the best decaf latte out there. Best bakery treats too, you allready know about the ice cream, try the flavors B4 you buy too, helpfull staff, a must stop after walking the dogs around Lake of the Isles, you'll often see a few puppies lying under the tables outside, worth going out of your way for.
