I had an appointment with Dr Minnie a couple of days ago. He took his time in explaining everything to me. Another doctor misread my ECG and he explained all of it to me. I was very impressed and he put me at ease. He approved of my exercise regimen and told me to come back to him in 20 years. I’m 77.
This appointment was to follow up after he look at imaging to confirm a report from outside network. He just read the report. He was unaware of my underlying diagnosis and then questioned it because 'he hasn't seen it in years.' Rather than looking at my medical history for objective data and make EB conclusions, he asked me and then dismissed my citation of my medical records as unlikely. I strongly do not recommend this group. Their office has no consideration of patients' time. In addition, they do not communicate. I waited for an hour after my appointment time and told them I needed to be seen soon or would have to go. They finally brought me back, but the doc wouldn't see me. It wasn't until I called the patient advocate where I found out they wanted more records. I could have got that for them if only they actually asked me. Dr Monnin is the best!!!!! Always a smile, always takes his time with you, always ask about family, always listens. Always spoke & knew you wherever we ran into him. He was my husband's Cardiologist until he passed with a blood disorder. He was many of our friends Cardiologist too. When someone needed a Cardiologist we always said here's Dr Monnin's number. We miss him terribly in Frankfort. Wish he was here in case I would need him.
Dr. Monnin is very knowledgable and up-to-date about heart issues, care and exercise needed to keep your heart strong. Danny Thacker, PA in his office is also awesome.
Excellent understanding of a rather complicated medical history.
I have been a patient of Dr. Monnin at Bluegrass Cardiology for several years. He is very pleasant and attentive to whatever I want to discuss. His examination is thorough and my visits are always a nice experience. I am pleased to hear that he will be returning to Frankfort after his year of absence for further training.
This was my second visit with Dr Monin he was very professional and very concerned with my heart monitoring sonce going to him my condition is much better I would give him a highly recommendation to any patient who's suffering from heart issues
