Very well organized. Speaking with both the anaesthetist and the doctor before the procedure was very calming .
The information phone staff were knowledgeable and polite, telling me I could use a generic children's electrolyte drink or Pedialyte instead of Gatorade. The instructions should not endorse Gatorade; it has a lot more sugar than the other. The pre-procedure was efficient, and Dr. MacKenzie came and asked if I had any questions. They gave me an extra heated blanket. The whole thing was quick.
For the most part the procedure went well and the staff was amazing - very caring and friendly. When I was told that Dr. Mackenzie would see me before and after the procedure I was a little confused when the post-op nurse mentioned a polyp. I waited for my post-op visit with Dr. Mackenzie but he didn't come by. I was told I could change and be on my way but I was still waiting for Dr. Mackenzie. All the staff are great I’ve had Dr. McKenzie do other procedures several times This last couple procedures I don’t think went to well. I have been in so much pain for the first week. It hurt to move it hurts to sit it hurts to stand it hurt to swallow food I cried myself to sleep I lost 3 pounds because I couldn’t eat. It hurt to go to the bathroom. I’m still having cramps in my lower abdomen . I still have some pain trying to go to the bathroom. I’m not sure if that’s how all the procedures leave you . All I know is that I... read more

Dr. Mackenzie had a calm and very caring bedside manner. He was personable and friendly and explained the procedure as well as outcome in a clear and concise manner. I will definitely return to him for any further gastro issues.
