Barely spent time explaining the procedure he was conducting, acted annoyed at questions, seemed like he was in a big rush, as if he had too many patients to deal with. Also brought along 2 other people into the room, did not ask my permission, and I assume they were medical students there to observe, but there was no acknowledgement of that. Abruptly left the room after procedure, little information given on care, pain management, follow-up, etc. 2nd procedure did not work, so I did not go back
Dr. Goldstein performed my Mom's colonoscopy and perforated her bowel. She had to go through an emergency surgery to remove her sigmoid colon. The 2 hour outpatient colonoscopy ended up with 7 nights stay at the hospital and the rehab facility. Dr. Goldstein is not trust worthy. He does not spend time explaining the medical condition in details. He is not willing to provide the patient and the family with the root cause of the complication and the short term and long term impact of the surgery.
