I can’t say enough good things about Dr Farner. He has a wonderful bedside manner, he is funny and truly cares about his patients. He has treated multiple family members and everyone of them have had a great experience. I have had nothing but good experiences myself. He takes the time to listen your concerns and provide the best treatment options. I highly recommend this provider and trust him with my care.
Reached out for over a week after running out of pain meds from a fractured and dislocated arm for a refill. In extreme pain, called and left messaged on my chart. No one communicated with me for almost a week. And supposed to go get an mri done. Not ok that you want your patients in pain and will not communicate.
I’m unsure as to why OHRH keeps such an arrogant surgeon on their team. Good employees have stepped down or moved on due to him. He has zero bed side manner but to have bedside manner he must come to visit the patient and or family prior to surgery or post surgery and saw him at neither pre or post op and didn’t until three days post op. As a family member to the 86 year old pt he did a hip replacement on, putting the family at ease prior to surgery would have been the least he could do. I am very disappointed with the care my Mother received from Dr. Farner at Owensboro Health. Our nurses told us he will meet with you (her family) prior to surgery. He did not. Then they said, he will meet with you after her surgery. He did not. I finally met him the following Monday after her surgery on Friday. His cockiness and poor bedside manner were both very off-putting. Had we been offered a choice and knew his reputation, we would have never allowed him to proceed. I feel we are stuck with him...
He was sooooo rude!!!! I’m so upset , he treated me terrible . He is defiantly a doctor who doesn’t care about his patients , 1/10 wouldn’t recommend him if you want good care.
