Dr Hormel is a no nonsense Surgeon who is frank and encouraging at the same time. He helped me with my knee for several years allowing me to be the one to make the final decision for the replacement. My TKR surgery was 2 weeks ago and he did an excellent job. Not only does Dr. Hormel genuinely care about his patients, but his staff does as well. His PA Liz and Medical Assistant Julie are friendly, very knowledgeable and they return calls and messages on Patient Portal quickly. Following my surgery, any voicemail I left was r... read more
My last visit was a 1 year follow-up to the second knee surgery performed by Dr. Hormel. Both knees have had excellent outcomes.
Short wait time. Dr and PA very friendly.
Dr. Hormel is the best -- he takes plenty of time to understand my situation, explains things clearly, and genuinely wants to help me get back to being my active self. I would highly recommend him to anyone considering either surgical or non-surgical options to deal with joint issues.
He did a great job on my knee. Very competent and friendly. hHe was on time for appointments as well
Dr. Scott Hormell, Trisha Dunn, & Julie Woolf have provided me with excellent care over the last decade. I have had both my knees replaced by Dr. Scott and his team. Thanks to their continued help, support & care I now have a new lease on life at 72 years old.
Friends highly recommended Dr. Hormel when it became apparent I could no longer postpone knee replacement surgery- the pain had become nearly constant and my range of motion was very much compromised. From the very first appointment it was clear that Dr. Hormel was the right choice. At the pre-op appointment he was very specific and direct as to what I must do to ensure a good outcome after surgery. I’m now looking forward to having Dr. Hormel replace the other knee soon.
Terrible. A total of 4 minutes to assess me, 1 minute to send me for an MRI, and 3 minutes on the phone to tell me I needed surgery. He was nonchalant and kept saying the surgery is "easy" and "not a big deal." Tried to contact him 6 times in a week to ask questions about the surgery (email and phone) and he NEVER responded. Appointment rushed, I felt like a number. The doctors are owners of the MRI place which felt like profit was prioritized over care.
I had an injured knee (bone chip) for over a decade and didn't realize it. Once cartilage began to deteriorate and present arthritis related issues Dr. Hormel discovered the injury. I had the chipped bone surgically removed and the bone appropriately trimmed. Dr. Hormel's guidance has given me renewed, pain free life in my knee. Several years have passed but on beautiful August days like today I can't thank him enough.
