Dr didn't rush into surgery suggested PT
Dr. Hormel repaired a left torn meniscus in 2014 and performed a right total knee replacement for me in March 2025. His work has been excellent and, eight months after the first, he's replacing the left knee. I've found him to be incredibly caring, communicative, and easy with which to interact as a patient - the rest of his staff has been equally wonderful. :)

Even if he’s rushed, he takes the time to make sure that you understand clearly, everything related to his care.
Dr Hormel was very thorough and inspired trust and confidence. I left my pre-op being fully informed and knowing my procedure will be a success.
I have had no less than 5 surgeries with Hormel. Everyone of them were for the better.
Dr. Hormel asked me lots of questions and listened to my answers. He sent me for X-Rays so he had up to date information. He was very professional.
I also want to point out that every nurse or physician assistant looked directly in the face and had lots of helpful information in terms of next steps and process
I appreciated his straightforward answers and congenial manner. I felt better about my issue after our discussion.
