I appreciate Dr. Scott’s skill in assessing my chronic knee pain after 1.5 yrs of dealing with it in my home state (Alaska.) He knew exactly what the problem was after reviewing my MRI’s and a physical exam. It is worth the effort to seek a specialist for a second opinion to reduce the risk of misdiagnosis or of missing something all together from providers who just don’t have the same level of expertise. No blame at all, but expertise is worth it.I also appreciate Dr. Scott fitting me into his surgery schedule the same week... read more
Great office from check in to scheduling a follow up. Friendly, communicative, and Dr Hormel provided info in a very relatable and understandable fashion. Highly recommended.
Direct approach to my diagnosis. Therapeutic options presented and discussed. Allowed for questions and further clarifications.
Dr. Hormel is always knowledgeable and gives his opinion on different paths of treatment. Very efficient with our time and understands we travel long distances by trying to get any imaging done as soon as possible to save us extra trips. Also understands our athletic goals of returning to play as soon as possible. Will gladly travel 4 hrs for great care!
Dr Hormel is extremely knowledgeable and has been so helpful throughout this entire process. I appreciate how quickly he got me into surgery and how helpful he has been at my post op visits. Thankful my PT recommended OPA!
Very friendly and easy to talk to. Surgery 4 months ago. I’m back playing tennis 3-5 times a week. Knee feels great, 135 degrees range on bending.
Called. Got appointment right away. Staff is great. Quick assessment. To the point. Got a great referral and where not to go. No time wasted.
I had an issue with my knee and within minutes he knew exactly what I had done to it! He showed me what happened using a prop knee which I found very helpful! He was very quick, very friendly, extremely professional and so down to earth. He used the anatomy words but really made sure I understood what happened and how I could fix it. I left his office very satisfied and much more confident than how I felt going in. Would highly recommend him!
The Hippocratic oath: do no harm.Scott was exceptional at explaining the risks and rewards of my procedure. I now feel comfortable not proceeding further with this procedure. Thank you, Dr. Hormel.
