WE LOVE, LOVE, LOVE DR. MIKE My children have been going to Palo Verde Peds, and specifically Dr. Mike for 4 years. Ever since we moved to Gilbert. Our experience with Dr. Mike Perlstein has been nothing but positive and nurturing. He takes the time to listen and explain. He answers any questions you might have in laymans terms, not Greek. Badly Run Practice, Worse Doctors My children went to Palo Verde Pediatrics for a few months and it was a terrible experience. In addition to extremely rude and inefficient front desk staff, the wait times were incredibly long and Dr. Deardorff often seemed like it was more of an inconvenience than a joy to see and treat my children. We love Dr. Deardorff We have been with Palo Verde Pediatrics since 2004. I love that I can always get my son in when he is feeling under the weather. My older children were his patients when they were babies and we moved out of network. Now that we are back in their network we are glad to be able to have them as the younger children's doctors. We have been patients of Dr. Deardorff off and on since 1992. As long as our insurance will cover us, we will gladly be his patients.
Horrible!!! My daughter was 26 months old and incredibly ill. We saw three of the doctors at Palo Verde and none of them took the time to be thorough or thoughtful. She ended up getting so sick with strep throat (they didn't even do a strep culture at the first two appointments). After the third appointment they just said she has about 20 hours before she's so dehydrated and sick that we would admit her to a hospital. Excellent Pediatrician We have gone to Dr. Kipp for 7 years. He takes time to talk with me on an adult level and the kids on their level. We have never waited very long in the waiting room (1/2 hour max during flu season). The nurses are super with the kids, also. Fun and good giving the shots. I am not rushed in the appointment and have been well informed on issues. I am always ask if I have any questions and they are answered. Excellent Child Health Care I would recommend these doctors to anyone searcing for a good pediatrician. I have been going there for over two years and everytime I have been impressed. I have never felt rushed in any appointment and have always had all my questions answered. I feel very well equipped with information regarding my children's healthcare because of our doctor. Furthermore, they are open on Saturday and Sunday mornings for sick children so you don't have to go into an Urgent Care Clinic.
Horrible Experience We used to go to PV Pediatrics but had to switch after several bad experiences. They are always running behind at least an hour. They scheduled my child's well checks too close together for her shots so I had to make a 2nd appointment for the shots. The receptionist said it wouldn't be a big deal to come back since I'd only have to see the nurse. I still waited over an hour. They made it sound like it was my fault for scheduling them close together so I guess I was supposed to know that these shots had to... read more
great group of doctors We have been going to this practice for years now. It is in a convienient location and has lots of parking spaces. The nurses and reception staff are wonderful. I love that they have a waiting room for well check-ups and a seperate waiting room for sick kiddos. There are restrooms in the waiting area on the sick side and well as the well side. It's nice that I don't have to take the kids into the office to use the bathroom before our time.
