They have a bad reputation for estimating a job and then finding lots of more work that needs to be done. So much so that when I told my insurance company that I was going to use them they refused to deal with them and told me that I could. They wrote me the check for the estimated amount and left me to manage them. Sure enough several other things were found and I had to keep telling them no. They did come in just under the original estimate but the quality of work is providing to be less than great.

Schooner Creek is an institution in the Portland Oregon marine business. This yard is full service - they build custom sail and powerboats and can fix literally anything. I have been using them for 15 years supporting my active racing/cruising on our J46 sailboat. These people are pros and I count on them.
