They do not send you things that you order and charge you for them. They do not track items and tell you too bad, it was sent. They make you wait over an hour to talk to someone and they do not get back to you on emails. So frustrated by this company.
Scholastic is absolutely unacceptable this year. If I could give it zero or negative stars, I absolutely would- and I definitely wish I could. I'm still waiting on an order from September 20, 2021 (it is February 2, 2022 today- that is beyond unacceptable, especially since I was lied to at least once on a shipping label that claimed the box had the book in it, but the book was nowhere to be found). I placed an order on 10/4/2021 and two months later haven't received anything even though I was charged. It says on their website they delivered it to our house, which was not how it was supposed to go. It was supposed to be delivered to the teacher. I'm starting to suspect that this is a scam- they take your money and then never give you the items, knowing there's no way to get ahold of anyone in customer service. I've asked twice now, no answer. But they sure were quick to take the payment.
I ordered in September ***************************************************************************************************************************** November before thanksgiving because it was overdue. They apologized and explained it was Covid 19 same time dont answer my asking for my money back then I responded again asking for refunds again then no answer from them. I felt like they are avoiding me. So frustrating and they have ruined my trusts. I had been using scholastic since my daughter was 3 years old.
I have contacted Scholastic MANY times since Oct. 6, 2021. My order on 9/9/2021 was for the $38.34. Our account was charged $135 and some change. We were asked to submit proof, which was done. Emails were sent, chats made, and phone calls were made where I have waited 30+ minute to talk to a representative only to not get **** again. This is theft. Last year during covid, my sons school wouldnt allow the kids to attend the book fair. Instead, they picked out what they wanted, and the teachers brought them their purchased books. I assumed it would be the same this year, and decided to forgo the book fair and purchase the books online- that way he had them sooner. I was completely wrong. Ive ordered on 10/27/21 and have reached out MULTIPLE times to see where my package is and ultimately cancel the orders I have. Ive messaged on ********* emailed and called. When I called it stated a 45min wait however it was over 90mins and eventually disconnected. At this point they are thieves and have stolen money with no product given.
Ordered items over a month ago and still have not received them. I have called customer service 5 times now with the same response of your items are currently being picked in the warehouse. How long does it take to pick an order with 6 items on it? Not 3 weeks. My items were not here for a birthday and now they won't even be here for Christmas. Also cannot cancel order. Which is just the cherry on top. What a joke.
Placed an order for the adopt a sloth back on 9/30 and was submitted by the teacher on 10/1. Noticed after a few weeks the item stated it was cancelled. I got in contact via the chat where the representative stated that I would be receiving the item for sure with my order. Come the beginning of November when the items arrive I receive the rest of my items with a note from the teacher that the adopt a sloth was not in the order and she would let me know if it arrives.
