RecommendedFriendly. Quick to get an appointment. Never have to wait long to be seen. I love the physician's answer the phones and you can actually talk to them or nurses so you don't have to wait for callbacks usually. They will also check up on you kiddo. Definitely happy we switched. *****
We switched doctors because of the unfortunate experience we had here. Doctor refused to write anything down for my husband. English is his second language and wanted to be certain he understood pggy-back dosing instructions with Advil and Tylenol, which was new to him as a first-time dad. Totally off-putting way to deal with families. I see she's now soliciting positive reviews through a gift card incentive. Seems unethical at best.

This office is terrible to their patients, and I would not recommend spending your time or money here. We left last summer and I'm so glad we did. Dr Schaefer kept telling me my child was OK even though she wasn't talking, but it turns out Dr Schaefer just misdiagnosed her, she was actually almost deaf in one ear, in addition to allow her staff to treat us poorly. I called the doctor's office today to ask questions about my bill. I asked the office to refile the claim to the insurance. I was informed but she knew her job better than I do and that I better not get an attitude with her. I myself have been a medical biller and know the procedure. when I calmly asked her what I needed done. she still got hostile. I guess Facebook is right on how they treat people. I found a doctor elsewhere. a very big Lakin customer service. I feel sorry for dr. Schaefer having staff like this.
I’ve been taking my children here for a few years and I have always had a great experience. The nurses are so kind & patient with my kids. Every time my toddler is sick they are always quick to get us in, which is greatly appreciated!
Took my 2 youngest kiddos for their annual before school check-ups last week and once again I'm reminded why they have been our pediatrician through 5 boys and 1 girl for nearly a decade now. The are all fantastic! Always get my kiddos in when sick, they remind me when to set up flu shots or other immunizations, and they always call to confirm your appointment the day BEFORE! We have used Dr Schaefer for almost 21 years now. Sadly our youngest is about to graduate out of pediatrics too. We are so glad she has been there for our kiddos. Our kids will likely take their own kids (way down the road) to her too because they have always liked her.
Rude front desk staff and poor communication. After hearing how they treated a fellow Edmond mom I’ll be sure to discourage other families from going here. You never know much word of mouth can affect your business!
