Scenic 90 Cafe was opened in 1998 by Gus Silivos, a long-time restauranteur and chef in Pensacola, who wanted to bring a fun and friendly dining experience to East Pensacola Heights. Gus and family still own and operate the diner where 'great food and snappy service' has been the motto for eighteen years.

Loved it! Where else can you get a fried Grouper sandwich at 9am? Sandwich was fried perfectly and was bigger than the appetite I brought, also the homemade tartar sauce is some of the best I've ever had. Get the frys as your side and you'll be happy. Never saw the bottom of my sweet tea glass either.
When I come to Pensacola, which is often, I have to eat breakfast here. The fresh squeezed OJ is the best. Great breakfast and service for a great price.
The food was delicious, our servers were awesome. The female "manager" (early seventies, choppy light colored hair with a maroon cawl neck sweater) was strange though. She kept staring at my Mom and I from the corner of her eyes. She made her rounds, greeting and checking up on other customers, but would never approach me and my Mom. As we were leaving told us to have a good day. If it had not been for the creepy manager staring at us and willfully neglecting us I would have given our experience a more positive rating.
Our favorite family meal go to for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Best staff around! Of course we call it the Shiny Diner!!
Deeeelicious diner style food in a nostalgic setting. Our family nicknamed it the "shiny diner" because the exterior is shiny stainless steel and the inside is straight out of the 50's. With neon lighting, a cute counter, and booths, kids and adults enjoyed it! BEST shakes and malts, blue plate specials, and pies!!! Yummmm!
