OUTSTANDING – THE FOOD AND SERVICE HERE AT SCANNICCHIOS IS INPECABLE, I HAVE BEEN TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT AT LEAST 5 TIMES IN THE PAST YEAR. A HIDDEN GEM – I LOVE THE FOOD HERE, GREAT PORTIONS, VERY GOOD SERVICE! I RECENTLY HAD THE SAUSAGE AND FIG DISH THAT THE WAITER (MARK) SAID PEOPLE RAVED ABOUT. HE WAS CORRECT IT IS ONE OF THE MOST TASTY DISHES I EVER HAD. HE ALSO TOLD ME TO TRY THE STUFFED GRILLED FIGS, THEY WERE EVEN BETTER STUFFED WITH GORGAZOLE CHEESE AND WRAPED WITH PROSIUTTO. ANOTHER CLASSIC S. PHILLY ESTABLISHMENT – Scannicchio's typifies what a South Philly Eatery should be - homey, friendly, generous and fun. The BYOB aspect is a plus and the servers cheerfully chilled and opened the multiple bottles we brought. I heard the salutation "Hon" at least 4 times from our server who reminded me of a cross between my Aunt Bubbles and my cousin Gina - and that's a good thing!. good food – We have eaten here a couple of times and each time enjoyed our meal. The service is not great but it is friendly.
exquisite – I dined here with friends from out of town recently.We all left very happy can't wait to go back. It was truly a pleasureable dining experience.The veal marsala was the best I ever had.And you could actually cut the veal with your fork.The service top notch.The dish one of my friends had was a 7 fish dinner loaded with alot of fresh seafood in a tasty fresh marinara over pasta.It could serve 2.Prices were very reasonable.
