Following their American dream, Sicilians Teresa and Michael Petrantoni immigrated to New York in the late 1920s and established Savoia Pastry Shoppe, smack in the heart of Rochester's Italian neighborhood. Over the years this pastry heaven has evolved from serving traditional Italian goodies like cannolis and cookies to offering French bread, cheesecake, pies and pizzas. Its delicious pastries make it a favorite of both locals and tourists.

I can't say enough about the wonderful cake they made for my 40th Birthday Party. The woman who took my order was so patient. She gave me so many options and helped me make the best decisions. I had the cake delivered on Sunday, May 28th. We had some leftover and I am still enjoying it 10 days later. It is still fresh and tastes amazing!
It's pretty good. Their pies aren't all that. The cookies are good and the bread is cheap. It's close by. You get waited on quickly. They have lots of help. They redecorated and it looks great!
I have been going to Savoias for 40 plus years. There is no other in Rochester that compares.
I grew up right around the corner from this bakery. I have sweet memories of my Mother sending us kids to get fresh baked bread for dinner and the aroma of the bakery is intoxicating. I have since moved out of state but when I get back home to visit, I make sure to go to Savoia bakery. Fantastic baked goods and beautiful cakes. Thank you.
