We love the area, downtown, great place to vacation with family and friends!
Savannah is a beautiful city. The people are friendly, the restaurants are great and we had a wonderful time...Until the parking ticket. Savannah runs a major racket, that I feel especially preys upon its tourists. If you park on the wrong side of the street at the wrong time, you get a parking ticket. You pay it upon your return home, thinking it is taken care of, until a year passes. They then tell you they received the payment late (even though they cashed it) and now they want $29 in late fees....A YEAR LATER. I will not... read more

Loved Savanah would love to go back loved River Street, and walking around downtown Savanah.
My husband and I spent our honeymoon this past July in Savannah. This was my first visit. We intended to spend a few days in Savannah and a few days at another city close by. We ended up staying the entire week in Savannah. We stayed at the Comfort Suites on W.Bay street. Took advantage of their courtesy van dropping us off and picking us up. Loove Savannah!!! This city is my favorite in the USA!
I had been waiting to visit Savannah for years and finally we went there in 2014 as part of a world Trip. We stayed in a fantastic hotel the Inn on Ellis st wow it was gorgeous. Savannah was everything I had ever dreamed of and more. The waterfront buildings and all the beautiful parks and houses I can never put in to words what a magical place it is. I never wanted to leave but we had to carry on with our trip. I hope to go back one day if I can . Just a wonderful place.
