My wife and I just got back from our last visit to Savannah. We've been visiting regularly (sometimes twice per year) for over 15 years now. Sadly, in the past few years we've noticed a trend in increased pan-handling activity, not just on the river walk, but also in the squares. We were physically accosted by one man and practically chased by another. I sincerely hope the City takes measures to get this problem under control.
That was the last trip I took with my Mom. It was special! :)

Such a beautiful city. I can slow stroll under those oaks forever. Great people, sight seeing, history, shopping, and dining. Savannah has it all.
I love Savannah! The food, people, music, architecture, history, hospitality and beautiful gardens make Savannah so special.
My family and I are about to move to Savannah in the next year or two. I have friends down there and have seen some pictures and videos and cannot wait to move. Such a beautiful place. When we get settled, first thing I am doing is going through every part of the city lol.
I had visited Savannah a few years ago as a little get away just by myself and fell in love with it. This past summer when I decided to get engaged, I knew a trip to Savannah was the perfect time to pop the question. Everything from the food, scenery, the tours, the stay at the Kehoe House both times, and even a couple of days spent on Tybee Island, was amazing. If you love history and good old southern charm, there is no other place to be. I hope to someday soon relocate there permanently.
The most beautiful city I've ever been. If you want to have fun, go to River Street. If you want to slow down and immerse yourself in beauty, walk thru Downtown and Historic District. If you want to relax with the sound of the waves, go to Tybee Island. A city to enjoy, a city to remember, a city to love. This is my Savannah!
