RecommendedLove this place for great bbq! Fred (I think his name is, super nice guy with long dreads) is great. It's nice to see how personable and engaging he is with customers and the food is awesome. I'm always coming back for the brisket! Great job to the crew in the kitchen, you can taste the love and passion in your food!
Delicious bbq in an artsy setting. Great food, service, and fun!! We sat outside on the patio to enjoy beautiful day!!
I am a Georgia resident and have eaten at Sauceman's several times with my son John. Can't wait to get there again and try the John Hoffman sandwich!
The beef brisket is the best in town. We've researched many barbecue places in the Charlotte area and know. The brunswick stew is interesting, i.e. a pile of pulled pork barbecue with a scant bit of sauce. Very good, but I missed the traditional corn, tomatoes, and broth. The mustard sauce is pretty darn tasty too. The prices are a bit high, but we think it's worth it every once in a while.
Great food and nice people.
Too much hype for BBQ that isn't all that. I will drive to Concord for Troutman's BBQ that hasn't already been anointed first like Sauceman's. The Troutman's Q and their Eastern style sauce in a heartbeat.
When visiting my daughter we had lunch. I could not believe how moist and delicious the pork sandwich was. I loved the greens very southern. Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. Will definitely return for more delicious food every time I am in Charlotte.
