He listens and gives good medical advice
I was beyond happy with this man. He is an amazing Dr he was my Dr for 2 months one time at the Haven Hospital. He treats as the formulary will allow him to. He's kind caring and can tell has a loving heart. He went above and beyond for me, and my personal psych Dr told me today I was demanding, so I know this man has not gotten the reviews he deserves. While under his care at Behavioral Health facility, he accused me of saying something I never said. He wouldn’t even consider the possibility of mixing me up with another patient with a similar sounding name. When confronted about the inaccuracy of what was said, he rather rudely replied with “Whatever you say.” It’s hard to trust someone when they think you lied. Dr. Purewal is a wonderful doctor and has helped me so much.
My 89-year-old Grandfather was seen by this Doctor while at Abrazo Arrowhead. He never attempted to reach out to any family or get a full health history on the patient. My Grandfather was sent from a dementia care unit to Abrazo and this Doctor as well as others at Abrazo ignored my medical POA and his dementia diagnosis from Barrows Neurological Institute. Dr Purewal has been my Psychiatrist on and off since 1998. I first met him at Thunderbird Hospital. He has saved my life many times over. He is very diligent when it comes to prescribing and adjusting my medications. I highly recommend Dr. Purewal.
I have been seeing Dr. Purewal, for over 20 years. Without his help I truly would not be able to manage my bipolar disorder. I have gone in and out of the hospital several times and he’s always been there for me. Over the years, I have learned so much from him about my illness, how to manage medications and have been successful at getting past suicidal ideations. Shame on dr purewel for continuing to give my sister sheila fey medicine that she has been abusing with meth for a year. He should of given her a urine test every month or blood test unexpectedly before he prescribes her medicine that she should of been off of a long time ago! She abuses her meds and meth that she does everyday in my 78 year old fathers house..
