We opened in February of 2011 and we have been smoking meats ever since! Meet the Business Owner Hugh J. Business Owner What's there to say? I grew up in Alabama and decided to bring southern BBQ to good people of Washtenaw County.

Started eating the fixings when they started. I knew it would be greater each year. The menu has expanded and the food is consistent! Keep it up!
I was very impressed by Satchel's! The food was amazingly good! I had the chicken sandwich with the sweet barbecue sauce that was so tender it melted in my mouth. The staff was friendly and very helpful as this was my first time there. I highly recommend this place to all! 👍🤗
Brisket was very good, wish they asked if you prefer fat or lean, but give a good spread to cover. Also grabbed one of every sauce so I could sample and got an extra 3 containers of "house sauce" which is probably the best overall. The staff was knowledgeable and super attentive. The sides were all reasonable, I got mashed and gravy (my only regret is not getting extra gravy on the side (which was offered) and mac n cheese which while tasty left something lacking as it cooled down. Wonderful brisket, nice people, the smell in the parking lot is divine!
Their food is very good. We had the pulled pork, ribs not available. No complaints here, we will return.
