We opened in February of 2011 and we have been smoking meats ever since! Meet the Business Owner Hugh J. Business Owner What's there to say? I grew up in Alabama and decided to bring southern BBQ to good people of Washtenaw County.

RecommendedMeat tender fresh n juicy but some seasoning would enhance the flavor and take it to a whole other level but yum yum!!
We ate here a couple weeks ago. I got the side platter with corn bread with a 1/2 pound of brisket. Hubby got brisket sandwich and bake beans. Service was awesome and food was delicious. We will be back soon
My kids have been wanting to go for awhile, so we had lunch there when we came to visit them at school, totally worth the wait. The brisket melted in your mouth, the mac n cheese and potato salad were a nice addition to the meal. The cornbread tasted just like grandma's. This will be part of the plan from now on when we're in town!
We had a lovely meal at Satchel’s with our family. The pulled chicken was delicious. We had the pleasure of a great conversation with the owner. Great food and hospitality.
Fantastic brisket. Mac and cheese is top notch. Excellent 70s soul and blues playing. This is how BBQ should be done.
We stumbled upon this place today and it was fantastic! The staff were all very friendly and informative and the place was very clean. We had the pulled pork and brisket plate. It was all delicious!!! Thank you! We'll definitely be back.
