We try to get to The Sanitary every time we visit the Crystal Coast, and have never been disappointed. It has a great history in Moorhead City, with beautiful views, and the nice addition of an updated nautical themed bar . Soft Shelled crabs are always excellent , as are the fish tacos and complimentary hush puppies. A surprisingly wide variety of local beers on tap as well as in bottles , adds to the casual fun dining experience.
Loved the peel-n- eat shrimp & crab cake.... delicious! The staff pleasant & very much on top of things... never an empty glass. Will return!
Our favorite place to eat at the coast. Waterfront dining at its finest. We return every year and will continue to do so. Excellent service. Best shrimp and crab around! :)
The Sanitary has been around forever. I have enjoyed many a meal there. It is a good place to take a family with kids for lunch or diner. I typically get the fried seafood platter, which has always been good.
If you want fresh local fish, this is the place to go. While you are waiting, enjoy their famous hushpuppies. I personally like to dip mine in their wonderful tartar sauce. The restaurant has withstood the test of time, not to mention survived a few hurricanes.
We over indulged and are ready for a nap.
