I've been to Dr. Sanan 2 times the first was with United Health, the second The VA sent me to him. Both time I waited in a small room for an extended amount of time, the second time it was for over an hour, only to have him come in and spend less than 3 min to say he cannot (will not) help me, do not go by the good reviews alone get a second opinion you will be glad you did and my advice stay away from this DR.
Dr. Sanan and his assistant Melina are such an amazing team I would recommend them to anyone! These two always go above and beyond, for example I had gotten sick outside a few weeks ago and they both ran outside to check on me, brought me water and stayed with me outside for like an hour. I love going to see them they are so friendly and always make sure I know exactly what is going on and keep me well informed with any changes they may need to make if you are looking for a neurologist this is the man to see. I do not care how much my doctor knows until I know how much he cares about me. Dr. Sanan is the most caring doctor I can think of. He communicates clearly.
Having recently moved to AZ, I was concerned about finding a doctor who could address my spine issues. Dr. Sanan came highly recommended.... and I understand why. Dr. Sanan was awesome. He and his team provided excellent care when I had the ACDF surgery. Once I decided on the surgery, I never looked back as I had the upmost confidence in him. My questions were answered before and after the surgery. I would highly recommend him.
AT YESTERDAY'S NEUROLOGY APPOINTMENT, I SAW NURSE PRACTITIONER JAN HASKELL. SHE WAS A VERY PLEASANT LADY. VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND EFFICIENT. SHE EXPLAINED THE SURGERY I HAD, ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS, AND ASKED ME TO CALL IF I HAD NEED OF ANYTHING ELSE. AN XRAY WAS ORDERED AND RESULTS CALLED TO ME THE FOLLOWING MORNING. I CANNOT ASK TO SEE A MORE PROFESSIONAL INDIVIDUAL.
Dr. Sanan listened to my cocerns and explained in great detail what the procedure entailed. He went out of his way to cut the least amount so I could hide my scar. After surgery I was amazed that the was no swelling or bruising, I recovered much fsater taht anticipated. All of Dr. Sanan's team members are wonderful, he's the best neurosurgeon.
Because of the skillful and outstanding neurosurgeon, Dr. Sanan, my life was spared. Dr. Sanan communicates effectively with me and my wife from the time I was diagnosed with brain hematoma, leading to surgery (<24 hours) and post-surgery. Dr. Sanan’s professionalism, empathy, kindness, and engagement made all the difference for better patient outcomes. I was blessed to have Dr. Sanan as my neurosurgeon. Dr. Sanan is a highly skilled neurosurgeon, an expert in his field and an incredible patient advocate. His willingness to take on difficult cases to improve the patient's life is very hard to come by. He is very empathetic, provides detailed information to the patient so that the patient can be a partner in their care and is able to make the surgical process a good experience for the patient. Dr. Sanan is an amazing Neurosurgeon, and his staff is wonderful. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing his services. He has excellent bedside manner -- he's kind, knowledgeable, very capable, and easily accessible by phone or through his staff. He's an amazing surgeon. Jan (nurse practitioner), Melina (insurance/scheduling) were both very patient, responsive and kind. I highly recommend this practice.
