Dr Samuel is the MOST INTELLIGENT Primary Care Physician I have ever had the pleasure of taking care of myself and my many complicated medical problems. I don't know when she sleeps. She comes into her office at 11 a.m. but never leaves until well after 8 p.m. then she goes to the hospital to her rounds until the wee hours of the morning.
Dr. Samuel's is an extremely smart, kind doctor. Yes you have to wait well past your appt time....You know why? because she is taking care of her patients at the hospital & nursing homes. If you want great care see her, if you want quick & mediocre care...go somewhere else. I travel hours to see her, She also took great care of my mom who had cancer surgery in Arizona and was in constant contact with the Doctors there...that is the kind of Doctor she is, you choose.
I have been a patient of Dr. Samuel for almost 13 years. I am not a "sickly" person so I only go in maybe once a year or even less. Even at that, Dr. Samuel has always remembered me and is always very attentive and informative. She's very caring and companionate. My grandmother started seeing Dr. Samuel on my recommendation and she too loves her. The wait may be long, but it is worth it. Getting appointments is easy even though she is always busy, she always makes time for patients.
I was admitted to MMC for pancreatitis. Dr Samuel was quick to ensure of getting me effective pain Meds because one they provided was not working. Then later during the week, I was put on liquid diet but to IV fluids too.When questioned nurses, they kept saying the doc will eventually taper it down or have it removed. So,my leg & foot begin to swell! Nurse told me to walk more & then elevate. Samuel ordered to remove IV fluid w/concern as to why nurses hadn't removed. She was kind & helped when
DO NOT SEE PERSON!! my wife went in to the hospital, was admitted, my wife was on 7 meds and getting worse, come to find out my wife was suffering seratonin toxicity, i spoke with samuel and told her my wife was to be taken off all these meds with just 2 for her pain and anxiety levels, literally the next day, she was better and was released from the hospital. i would not recommend this person to my worst enemy
Dr. Samuel is extremely knowledgeable and sweet. She is the most hard-working person I can see on this planet. She is a very busy woman but her patient care is professional and effective. She took care of me in the hospital when I was very sick and helped me through a tough time.
It was the most shameful, unprofessional treatment that came very close to bordering on dangerous to my recovery. She was unknowingly assigned to me while I was recuperating from orthopedic surgery done in El Paso TX at a rehabilitation facility in Las Cruces. Dr Samuel didn't read my post surgery instructions until 3 days after my being admitted to the Good Samaritan rehab facility in Las Cruces. I didn't receive any pain medication until I threatened to contact NM state health dept. BAD DR!
