I've had a Sam's membership for 15 years or so. Ron Morrison is about the ONLY reason I keep my Sam's Club Membership. In the last 7 or 8 years, I haven't spent enough at the Club to economically justify my membership, but being greeted by a smiling man with a smile in his voice was worth it. The last time I was in the store, Ron wasn't there (no big deal, I thought. Everyone needs a day off). The person that "greeted" me barely even acknowledged my existence. SO disappointed in the way Sam's club management handled one of their nicest employees. It is too bad that kindness no longer matters, Ron will be missed.
Time for a change. New management would definitely help turn things around.

What in the hell are you thinking. To the GM of the Waterloo store. The Tootsie roll guy you just let go is the nicest guy in the world. He didn't work there for the money but worked to make others have a good day. Let me make a wild guess. Your not from Iowa. You don't know your customer's but the guy you let go knows everyone. Your loss is greater than you think.
Although a fan of some of the prices, the CS at this store has dwindled in recent years. One bright spot was Ron at the door. My kids would ask if it was a day he'd be working when we'd run errands, just wanting to stop and see him! He made them feel special, not just because of a candy or toy, but because he took the time to notice them. A sad day for Waterloo when Ron isn't welcome at Sam's anymore:
Really poor decision to let Ron Morrison go! You need to rethink that moronic decision!! He was an asset to your store and I will no longer shop there.
Shame on the GMs of this Sam's Club for the mistreatment of Ron Morrison. I only joined a little over a year ago and loved Ron's warm welcome and smile. You did yourselves and your customers a great disservice.
