Because this guy was always there pleasant and helpful I was left with the impression that corporate knew a good thing when they saw it. I guess not. You have the right to hire and fire. We have the right to let you know we think you have failed at being a good employer. I was thinking about renewing my membership. Guess no more. Amazon goes a great job and comes to the door!! I can't even begin to tell you how upset I am over Ron Morrison! Shame on you, do you not realize how much money he helped SAMs Club raise over the years for CMN! And to think that he paid for his own tootsie rolls to give out! Smh on how this company has stayed away from Sam Waltons beliefs to what! Shame on you! Makes me want to be rid of my membership for the stupidity of GMs thinking they know everything!!
I am SO SO SO sad to hear that Ron Morrison is not going to be at the door with a smile and wink in his eye to tell me to have a good rest of my day. Unfortunately the managers at Sam's Club in Waterloo do not know what the signs of excellent customer service is. I am so disgusted. I was just there the other day and was disappointed he wasn't at work...I don't know when he was let go, maybe it was his day off.....but I definitely enjoy seeing his smile.
I used to enjoy Sam's Club. My kids loved seeing the "Tootsie Roll" man when they left. He always had a kind word and his smile made my day! Then I hear that an obviously ignorant manager let him go and wouldn't let him hand out his tootsie rolls or little stuffed bears anymore. This kind hearted man bought these with his hard earned money because he loved people. And then someone had the nerve to go against the ADA and say he couldn't plug in his wheelchair at work?!? So disappointed management forced Ron out. He was the only pleasant employee there with his infectious smile. I'd rather drive to Costco.
SAMs Club GM needs to have serious repercussions for terminating Ron. I realize that I WAS a small time customer, but I will take my business elsewhere. The "1" rating is based on missing Ron as a greeter.
Will not be visiting this store anymore. I will take the time to drive to Ames or another store instead. Shame on you for letting the only decent employee you had go. I've been happy to stop in for many years knowing Ron would be there with a smile and a tootsie roll, but not anymore.
Can't believe u would let Ron Morrison go because he needed his wheelchair plugged in. I hope ADA is all over this Sam's club!!!
