I wish I lived closer; I would be at the shop all the time. The yarn selection is amazing and all displayed neatly. Peggy is welcoming and knowledgeable. By the time I left the shop I was not only set up with a great project and yarn I wish I could buy locally where I live, but also with the strong desire to come back one day � I tried to share the project in this review as a link, but it did not take. It is the Ginkgo Shawl and my name on ravelry is Strickliese.

While visiting Swansboro my husband convinced me to go in here and shop for myself. I do alot of crochet for others ba uthelping without hovering rarely for myself. I was helped to chose a flattering color and yarn for a lightweight scarf. I just finished making it and love it. Thank you for helping without hovering. I will definitely make it a point to stop the next time I am near.
I am new to crochet and (until Thursday) purchased all if my yarns at chain craft stores. I dropped in to browse and some fantastic yarn (I decided to crochet a scarf for my souvineer rather than purchase a dooddad). Janet helped me find a pattern and she introduced me to Ravelry. It was the best shop I visited all day!
The Salty Sheep is amazing. My 8yo daughter took a class and Peggy was very gentle, kind and my girl is now.... a knitter! Her store is immaculate, comfortable and welcoming. I highly recommend for young and old! Thank you, Peggy!
