I recently moved into a town nearby and was invited to go to "The Sheep". I started knitting about 1.5 years ago at a more advanced level. Otherwise I learned there are more than knit and purl stitches. This shop definitly gave me lots of ideas, really NICE yarn, and encouragement to tackle more difficult patterns. I now love lace work. Going to see Peggy every year at The Salty Sheep is the highlight of our vacation. My mom and I, along with whoever else in the family is interested, schedule a private lesson during the week we spend on Emerald Isle. This year we learned how to knit the Dangling Conversation shawl. My mom and I each chose a different color way in the Freia Ombré lace weight yarn and can't wait to see what the finished shawls look like! But there are so many beautiful yarns in the shop that it was hard to choose!
Great yarn shop-the best I have ever visited! The merchandise is beautifully displayed. The staff is very helpful. They have lots of knitting inspirations with many samples on display. A delight!
