I had the best experience at The Salty Sheep today. Peggy is super patient and took her time measuring me for a project I wanted to do, helped me look over the pattern, select the "just right yarn" and educate me on the new Addi needle set I FINALLY purchased. Thank you, Peggy, for sharing your talents and gifts with us and always with a smile. The Salty Sheep is my happy place!
When I told a friend of mine that my family was heading to Emerald Isle for a week she mentioned a charming little yarn shop in Swansboro that I should check out. What a jewel of a find! And even better, it's owned by a daughter-in-law of a dear friend from my hometown of Goldsboro! Peggy Baddour is as inviting as the store itself. Makes me want to come back much more ten than I should!!!!
A rainbow of luxury yarns in a welcoming environment. I could browse for hours. The staff is helpful and full of ideas and suggestions.
Tonight was my first time visiting this adorable yarn shop. When i walked in I was welcomed by a group of ladies knitting. They were very friendly and helpful and informed me about knitting classes that the shop puts on. The owner was very helpful and educated me on the different types of needles and yarn. I purchased my first skein of yarn and will be back for my first lesson. This shop was warm and inviting and i can't wait to go back.
I travel 2500 miles every summer to North Carolina and make it a point to visit Swansboro. The Salty Sheep will have you smiling just walking up the front path, seeing the yarn bombed light stanchion and the clever shop logo. Peggy, the owner, has a wide range of yarns, patterns and notions. I love to be inspired by the finished projects hanging about the shop. In planning a vacation I always check to see if there is a LYS nearby and I was thrilled to find out about the Salty Sheep in Swansboro. I made a bee line for the shop and was super glad I did - Peggy was a wonderful hostess. She has a great selection of yarns, patterns, and needles. Do yourself a favor and visit the Salty Sheep if you are near the Crystal Coast but the struggle is to not spend all of your vacation money buying goodies from Peggy's shop!
