I lost part of an old filling over the weekend and called on Monday to get in to have it looked at and Dr. O got me right in that morning. Turned out I had two broken fillings. I needed one replaced and a crown on the other tooth that was all filling. Luckily there was no need for a root canal, just the crown. The crown is now made "onsite, while you wait" so no temporary and come back in two weeks. The reason I am not sure if I would refer a friend is because of the wait times. I waited 20 min from when my appointment started before I was even seated. My wife waited a similar time to be seated and walked out because she was waiting for the Dr. to do the final check up. I like the establishment... friendly staff, great Dr. but time management needs to be improved.

I scheduled my appointment at Salt Lake Smiles because I just moved in the area. Honestly my experience was below average. I wish I was writing a better review but it's unfortunate that I am not. After my appointment at my previous dentist, I always had a good feeling especially because I felt that he genuinely cares about his patients but unfortunately that was not the case at Salt Lake Smiles. I like the dentist and hygienists,They are really friendly and knowledgeable. But the front staff is not so great - there always seems to be billing problems- they want me to pay more than I'm supposed to with my ins. So I usually have to get a refund after the insurance or lately I've just been telling them they are wrong and only pay for what I know I'm supposed to pay for. It seems there prices have jumped WAY up too. Last year we paid 15$ for fluoride treatments my insurance won't cover. This year I got charged $35. I ke... read more

I'm so impressed by Tami and I'm glad she's part of the office now. I feel confident that she understands insurance and billing and resolved an issue very quickly that previous employees were unable (or unwilling?) to resolve.
