Best for Curly Hair! – I don't even live in New York anymore, but I still go especially to get a haircut from Leslie at Salon Santa Cruz. It's so difficult to find someone who is truly good with curly hair, but Leslie is it. She is so talented, and she makes it seem so easy! She is definitely worth making a special trip there!

Tamara is one great HairStylist... – I had a hairstylist in Rockefeller for 4 years. When he moved to Florida, I was miserable thinking - how would I ever find a good replacement? I searched high and low in the internet to see any salons that would jump out at me that I would give a shot and see how a relaxer came out on my hair. I stumbled across reviews and site of Santa Cruz and seeing the diversity of race - I thought ?why not?? When you have a gut feeling, it?s usually right. I had that feeling when I was directed to Ta... read more

Expensive, But Good – About 6 months after I first moved to the city I decided it was time to move on from the barber shop haircut. After some yellow page searching, of all things, I found Salon Santa Cruz and its premier stylist, Katya. In a scene that was likely similar to a beauty school exam, I showed up with basically a shaggy mop-top and told Katya to do whatever she wanted, and she did not dissapoint. The chic and cosmopolitan haircut provided me with a confidence and self-image boost. Katya's best attribute is that s... read more

I GET STOPPED ON THE STREET AT LEAST EVERY OTHER MONTH – WITH SOME ONE TELLING ME HOW GREAT MY CUT AND COLOR LOOKS! I have been going to Leslie for 10 years now! I can?t even THINK of having anyone else do my hair. She was recommended to me by a friend when I was looking for someone to help me with my then problem hair. Leslie really CARES about your hair, when you talk to her, she always listens with patience and concern and always offers great advice on what is, and is not possible. I had my hair turned from lifeless to go... read more

Average service for Mucho Dinero – I went in to Santa Cruz for a cut (long layers). My hair was already washed and blown out straight when i got there and was charged $100. That's insane. She didnt even curl the ends of my hair afterwords so that to give it a nice shape.

good haircut for a reasonable price – katya did a great job with my short hair. i thought it was uncontrollable and i could not shave it off either since i worked blue collar. but she managed it quite well. it now looks pretty good. its reasonably priced and my family& friends loved it.

Excellent place for a men's haircut – I have been using Katya at Salon Santa Cruz for a number of years. She does a great job with men's hair. In addition, the staff is relaxed and friendly. The salon is not a stuffy place and there are many guys that get their hair cut there. Overall, it is a normal, great place to get a hair cut. Katya is very talented, too.

You Have to Try It!! – I have been going to Salon Santa Cruz since it was located on 23rd Street. One thing is certain ---they aim to please it's customers. You can find yourself engrossed in conversations with clients you met years ago, and with whom you've developed relationships or with someone you just met.....Because at Salon Santa Cruz is not only about the haircut and the color, it's about the relationship and the sense of community and family that makes everyone feel special and unique.
