I have soft/shiny/waist/length/platinum-blonde – hair. Those ideas usually dont mix. You must have someone who really knows what they are doing take care of you. I used to go uptown. I never felt sincerity & concern for what my needs were. They air kissed me/threw me in a chair/sold me stuff I didnt need/complained about their lives/other clients, & left a dent in my bank account. My colourist/cutter is Leslie. Exceptional – I'm a white girl who wanted an afro, so I found Santa Cruz on citysearch, made an appointment, and decided to give it a try. When I got there, Santa herself looked at my hair and warned me that it would be a difficult and lengthy process, but nevertheless, squeezed me into her appointment book and got to work. Pleased customer – I was a first time client and as soon as I walked into the salon I felt the relaxed vibe. I was offered a beverage and there were snacks to hold me over while my hair processed. I was very impressed with the staff, atmosphere and the quality of work. The best part is my hair came out fabulous. I recommended the salon to all my friends
High quality service – Having been trying out different salons in NYC for years, I can finally say I found one I will stick with. The staff at Salon Santa Cruz is excellent--I've had different people there cut my hair, texturize it, blow dry it--and they've all done an outstanding job. And if you have very thick, curly hair like I do, I strongly recommend Leslie! Another plus: the friendly atmosphere--serious about style and hair care, but never pretentious or product-pushing.
Run don't walk..... – If you are a woman of color or have ethnic hair texture, this is the place you want to be. I've been going to Santa for 15 years and followed her growth from her first location on 23rd street to 28th and Madison. Santa has been highlihting my hair for about 6 years now. New Person – I had tried this salon about 3 months ago, not knowing what to expect! I had very long curly coarse hair and had a color job done really bad. I needed help , I went to Santa Cruz and met with Katya. She helped me learn about my hair and how to take care of it. I let her use her skill and take a chance to do whatever she wanted. All I have to say is that I was speachless when I looked in the miror...... Terrific!!!! – Salon Santa Cruz was an absolutely wonderful experience. Very Professional, Friendly and a terrific haircut that brought my dull hair back to life - without a color touch up! Katya is superb, friendky and she is a master craftswoman. The salon is imoeccable with a serence atmosphere and an excellent professional staff. The value is there and they really do know how to bring out the best in someone!! I highly recommend Salon Santa Cruz and particularly Katya!!!!

Curly,Straight,Long,Short, Kinky,Coarse Hair Male, Female, Young &Mature Clinetele Santa Cruz Salon makes you feel comfortable as well as treating you and your hair as if they were the "ONE" The Stylists and the Salon itself are what you see in magazines & TV, but thought were beyond your reach.P PS: Even if they were $$$$-it would be worth treating yourself !
