Great Haircut by Antonio! – I've been searching for a salon that can work with any type of hair and although I found several that can style my hair, I had yet to find one that can both style and cut my hair the way I wanted. I have thick, wavy, long hair and had it cut and styled by Antonio. I was very pleased with the results. He listened to what I wanted and explained what he was going to do. Best Haircut EVER!!! – I have been to all the big salons like Fekkai, Oscar Blandi, etc...It was ever so refreshing to step into Salon Santa Cruz. Its very low key, all the staff is super friendly and best of all, I got the best haircut of my life! My hair dresser Antonio was UNBELIEVABLE!! "Salong" Santa Cruz – After much research on where to get my very dry, thick, long,crazy, curly hair cut I chose this salon b/c it was the only one out of 5 that I was looking at that had NO bad reviews. I expected to walk out of the salon, for the first time in my life, with hair that looked great. For that price, shouldn't I? I looked like a hot mess! Update 6 months post visit – Jeffery (the Shampooer) was great. I transitioned from relaxed to completely natural hair. Steve did my cut. At the time I liked it because it was in this slicked back hair style I guess. After I washed my hair it was a mess, a complete mess for 6 months. This salon is okay. The cut that Steve gave me grew into a terrible hair style. I had never felt so unattractive in my entire life. It was a horrible experience post cut. See Steve for relaxers on African-American hair – I picked this salon because of its City Search reviews and was not disappointed. Steve was meticulous with my relaxer - I didn't feel any discomfort or burning. He did a rollerset and blowout for the finish, which left my hair silky smooth and shiny AND I didn't have to wait - I walked into the salon at 3:55 and was in his chair at 4:00! Expensive & SO WORTH IT! – I'll just bullet point the Reasons why.. since there are no reasons why not to become a client . Diversity/Skill Levels of Staff-All hairtypes can be Serviced, consulations are done 1st, without being asked . Comfort Factor/Communication- As soon as you walk in the door, you are greeted with genuine warmth. There is no "if you have to ask, you can't afford it attitude . Hair 911 - Call Leslie – I live in Connecticut and used to get my hair done locally to avoid Manhattan salon prices. Then I realized that my hair needed some serious help (911) color and cut. It's six months later and my hair has never looked better. The color has been corrected and has never looked more natural. I love the cut ! If you want a great cut and/or a great colorist call Leslie. She is truly talented. It's hard to believe that someone so young and fun could take hair so seriously.

simply the best – Salon was very trendy and comfortable. Leslie has done color, hi-lites, cut and blowout. She has been doing my hair for about 6 months. What can I say she makes me look great, more importantly she puts her heart and soul in her creations. You looking great is a reflection on her. Who would want more from a stylist.
