They do a very good job of not only diagnosing and treating life-threatening emergencies but also communicating with clients about the process, their budget, and prognosis. Taking my girl in to be put down was the hardest thing ever. The staff was great and very loving to Raina. Today we received her ashes and I couldn’t be more pleased with their service. The added touches to her paw print, made me smile! The cost was very reasonable. Thank you so much.
Our cat was diagnosed with pancreatitis, last night he started vomiting and was having trouble breathing. We took him the Salem Veterinary Emergency Clinic around 3:00 am. Dr Kelly Pettinger, BVSc/BVMS and the staff were very caring and supportive. They gave him fluids, but by around 8:00 am he took a turn for the worst. We had to let him go over the rainbow bridge. We really appreciate the kindness the staff showed us during this heartbreaking time. Thank you all, we will highly recommend you.
Over a hour wait for nothing swelling started to go down but for waiting in room cost 100.00 so for them not doing anything something needs to change

Our cat Max developed horrible respiratory distress. Dr. Erbes quickly treated him appropriately and went WAY above and beyond by offering to continue his care on her day off. Because of this we were able to leave him on oxygen in a stress free environment. I am sure this made a HUGE difference in his recovery. Thank you Dr. Erbes and Salem Veterinary Emergency Clinic. We are so glad to have our baby boy home.
We had an emergency with our little Shiba Inu over the holiday weekend and were able to get in very quickly. Rachel Jacobs helped us out, she was excellent with our pup and with us. She was concerned and took the time needed to fully evaluate and help us decide the best course of action for our little girl. I can't say how relieved and thankful I was for her and everyone helping there. They were exactly what one hopes for during a stressful time!
I called last night about midnight about my very ill cat... asked about bring Madelyn in for euthanasia... the gal that answered the phone was wonderful. a few hours later when i could see Madelyn was ready, I called back telling them i was on my way in.... i got there around 2am and they could not have been more compassionate and wonderful! i just wanted to say thank you and you all were so amazing in such an awful time for maddie and me.... thank you for being there. <3 Lisa <3
