We are locals who chose to have our "babymoon" at the Henderson. It was nothing short of wonderful! Every staff member we met made us feel important and known. From the spa, to the restaurants, to the front desk, we were consistently treated well. Not to mention, the overall attention to detail throughout the entire resort was spectacular. We HIGHLY recommend this beautiful place.
I am a Destin Resident and I have travelled and lived all over the world, Europe, Canada, Caribbean and have been fortunate to indulge in spa treatments everywhere I visit, I must say The Salamander Spa at The Henderson is top rated/first class service Spa. The hotel is gorgeous but the service is horrible. The valet takes 20 minutes doesn't even open the doors for you, the restaurant doesn't know what's on the menu. One time housekeeping showed up after 7:00 PM to clean our room for the day. If they can work out the service it will be a great property. Until then I would avoid.
Had a 4 night stay at The Henderson. All the staff was wonderful. Always helpful and go out of their way to make sure your stay is exceptional. The facility is beautiful and 1st class. We had an issue with our room ( as with any new facility, there are always a few little things that have to be worked out) and were moved to another room. They made every effort to be sure we were happy and satisfied with the accommodations. The manager( Ben) personally took care of us. Loved Primrose, ate there twice in one weekend! We recommend the fabulous cauliflower appetizer!
It's on unfortunate that this resort treats it's guest so badly, by making them stand out away from entrance n bad weather, to wait for an Uber! Not allowing your guest to be picked up at the entrance, by the transportation of their choosing, is not okay at all. Good way to not have return guests. Nice place! But not very accommodating.
Thank you for bringing a true 5 star facility to Destin! From the minute I pulled up the drive, I was greeted by the most helpful, friendly staff around. The check in process was flawless and the rooms were amazing. We attended an event at The Henderson and the space was top notch along with the catering and service. Turn down service and all the small attention to detail throughout the entire property truly made the experience fantastic. Will 100% be back!
With so much competition in destin i am not sure why i am forced to wait in the cold open parking lot due to a no uber policy. As much as i spent on my vacation i should be allowed to freely chose my prefered transportation.
