We have moved our family here thanks to courteous and excellent care by Dr. Cavanaugh. He thoroughly explains everything and is not in the business of overdoing dental work- just what’s needed and with your approval. This is most important for us. Super friendly - excellent experience for kids and adults!
Dr. Cavanaugh and his staff are friendly, helpful, professional and excellent care givers. I just don’t know what I would want in a dental staff that they don’t have and do.
Everyone is always friendly, yet professional!! They always have smiles on (even though wearing face coverings right now). Dr Cavanaugh always explains everything he’s going to do and is very concerned with the patient’s understanding and comfort. I have been going to Portsmouth Family Dental for many years and always get the best treatment from the entire staff!!! I recommend them very highly!!! I won’t go anywhere else!! They are the best!
We moved here from Chicago (and from our favorite dentist!). Waited too long to find a new dentist figuring we could never match Dr. DelMonico in Chicago. But, voila’. Just had a great experience with Dr. Cavanaugh and Christina. So happy.

I have been going there for years and no issues. The staff is super friendly and the services are explained and done efficiently. Dr. Cavanaugh is friendly and great to talk to and has been my best dentist ever. I also have my whole family going there. I definitely recommend Portsmouth Family Dental.
Always have excellent service with DR Cavanaugh and staff. The latest was lost a crown and within a few hours it was replaced. Nothing better.

Portsmouth Family Dental’s name could mean it treats people of all ages, or that when you are one of their patients they treat you like family because both are true.
