It is an absolute pleasure to receive the finest dental care anywhere and Portsmouth Family Dental provides just that! It all starts with Rebecca and Mellisa in the office to Dr. Cavanaugh and his staff. Kaitlyn, Tracie, and Kristina are truly professional! The protocol in the office during these times we live in are superior! Dental care here is simply the best!!
My wife and I have just begun receiving our dental care at Portsmouth Family Dental because our previous provider has retired. We are both very pleased with the service Dr. Cavanaugh and his entire staff has provided. Two days ago he put a crown on one of my teeth and replaced two fillings that were very old and had begun to fail. This was done all in one visit. Excellent experience.
So impressed with the whole office. First off, Christina the dental assistant was super helpful, knowledgeable and made me feel really comfortable. Dr. Kavanaugh was so nice and super capable. He had a lot to cover with me and explained everything thoroughly and Patiently. He came up with a game plan that I liked. I was so worried as I hadn’t been to a dentist in so long. Thank you, everyone!! I am grateful!

Thank you for asking me about my experience today with my dental cleaning. I felt very safe coming into the office. The usage of text messages is helpful. I was asked to text when I arrived in the parking lot. This is reassuring to know there was a small number of people in the office. The greeting from Rebekah, your receptionist, was welcoming. As always, excellent atmosphere, clean environment and excellent and friendly service.
My experience with Dr Cavinaugh has been wonderful, he is friendly and always very thorough giving the best care. I had him replace two of my front teeth and he did a fantastic job of matching my teeth perfectly. I would highly recommend Dr Cavinaugh.
The staff and Dr. Kavanaugh at Portsmouth Dental is exceptional, caring and very friendly. Their patient care in this "new normal" is outstanding. I highly recommend them for all your family needs.
Very nice 1st visit. Staff was smiling, polite, friendly, and efficient. Covid procedures were in place and patient comfort and safety were paramount. Everyone including Dr Cav we’re forward with the procedures and open with explanations about additional care. Very nice 1st visit.
