Hipster a-holes on Belmont – Saint Cupcake's NW 17th location is everything a cupcake shop should be--bright, cheerful, filled with children, and pink. When I found out they were opening a new location in my neighborhood--SE Belmont--I was so excited. Turns out it's a total drag. First, the front of the store functions as some kind of vintage thrift/antique operation that is no fun at all. You're afraid to touch anything because everything is breakable/precious/mad expensive. it's super quiet and hushed, like a museum. The c... read more
great taste strange concepts – St cupcake wanted me to pay for getting cupcakes in more than 1 box. Even though both boxes were full. So, I could buy 1 box for the regular price, and then to get my cupcakes in the second box it's more. Isn't there usually a discount when you buy in bulk? Why do I have to pay for extra boxes. I've talked to several people about this, and they all agree. Don't charge for fancy boxes. Please offer options for packaging that would be free. The cupcakes are expensive enough. But, they are delicio... read more
Good cakes, bad attitude... – Great cupcakes but always get the feeling that I'm putting them out by giving them my business. The snobbiest cupcakes in the northwest. A+ for taste but D- for attitude.
Yummy & Delicious – Cupcakes Cupcakes Cupcakes!!! I love this place in the Nob Hill area....haven't been to their location in SE Belmont. Toasted Coconut are my Favorite!!! Just wish the stores were open on Mondays.
Not so saint Cupcake – We had cupcakes from here at a shower and they were fabulous! So when I was having a shower I was excited to use st cupcake again. The day of my shower I came to pick up my order first thing in the morning I come from Brush Prarie Wa So it takes about 35 min the morning of the shower just so happens we had freezing rain and it took me over an hour to get here I get my order did not think to open it my bad! Drove home and realized I was missing 18 large Cupcakes I immediately called and they said oh the... read more
to Die for Delicious! – Ordered these in variation of large and mini cupcakes for a recent birthday and they were gone before you could say "cupcakes anyone?" If only they opened 24 hours...
I love their Big Top cupcakes, velvety and creamy... – All their cupcakes are good, kinda expensive, but good. Great idea to have their minicupcakes with candles instead of a B-Day cake to celebrate someone's special day. Their menu changes every day of the week I believe.
cute place, friendly atmosphere – I've been to Saint Cupcakes twice now & I've had a positive experience both times. The first thing I noticed was how friendly the service was. Alot of places in Portland seem to be pretentious, but Saint Cupcake certainly is not. I've had vegan cupcakes both times- one being the cookies & creme & the other being chocolate on chocolate (I think, I can remember). They were tasty! I did notice the flow inside the establishment lacked. When you get up to the counter to pay & then if you pour you... read more
A tiresome trend... – Really, the cupcake thing is SO S*x in the City 3 years ago. To the person who commented that this place is what Portland needs (i.e., in terms of snackeries/restaurants), er, no. What Portland needs is a place that serves BOTH good coffee and good bakery... and doesn't charge $5 (+tip) for a crappy latte. If I'm splurging, I want it to be tasty. Anyway, I went to Magnolia with a friend and was underwhelmed. The vanilla cupcake was overly sweet, with droopy frosting. Unless they diversify, I give this p... read more
