We went to Sage today for my birthday and it was an absolutely magical experience! My husband had brought me flowers to place on our table, and Sage (without request) placed us in a private room with lit candles, single table, and romantic atmosphere. It was a complete surprise! Everyone wished me a happy birthday and it was complete with a lit candle on my dinner cake! I have never had such a wonderful gesture and truly thank all those who were involved. Taste was amazing but portions were ridiculously small.
We had lunch there today and it was wonderful. Jim had the country fried steak and I had the grouper, grits and greens. Excellent!
I always recommend Sage: A restaurant to all of my clients from out of town for a nice quick lunch or an enjoyable dinner depending on their schedule and time frame of being in Tallahassee. Sage has truly become my refuge, and as a very dear friend always said, it was her "safe place", from the daily rituals of the work week. Sundays wouldn't be the same without a Sage Spicy Bloody Mary and delectable brunch. I must also commend the people who make Sage, Sage. It's the people who make the difference.
RecommendedI think this is the best meal we have had in Tallahassee. EVERYTHING was delicious. The ropa viaja hash side is a must. Figure out a way to include it. Our server, Adam, was great.
