About this business

No one can cook up an Indian and Mediterranean fusion as good as Mohammed Bhatti, and to experience some of the greatest dishes from his kitchen you will have to come down to Safron Grill. Located in the Northgate tenement, this restaurant is easily recognizable with its vibrant red facade and is a local favorite. Be sure to try their signature dish, the famed butter chicken which is simmered in a rich tomato butter-cream-sauce. Other remarkable dishes on the menu include the traditional tikka masala, jaipuri masala and shis... read more

Editorial Review – Neighborhood grill specializes in steaks, fresh seafood, creative salads and more and offers an extensive wine list. Catering and take-out available.

Horrible Service – I visited this place several times because it is close to work but I never will again. The service is slow if you get any and the food is inconsistant. If you are thinking about trying somewhere nice... don't choose this overpriced and understaffed dining nightmare.

Lovely little gem! – I love the Berkshire Grill. I've been to this place several times over the years and find it to be consistent, pleasant and good. It has a local feel to it with an obvious cadre of regulars who come here with good reason. The service is friendly and attentive, the food is consistent, tasty and well prepared and it's an easy place to bring your well behaved children for a "nice" restuarant experience, something not easily found in this city. The prices are quite reasonable and the restaurant strives to in... read more

Local Luxury – I love that the complimentary bread is fresh-baked and comes in a yummy oil/basil dipping sauce. I've never been disappointed with my food or service. We adore the fact that they support local wineries, and my sister appreciates the organic and vegetarian possibilities. It's good food in a cozy atmosphere for decent prices, and it's an experience you can only get in Seattle.

Really Disappointing – When we entered the lobby we found that the place is too dark, uncomfortable and not inviting, so we decided to get food to go. I ordered Berkshire pork, he ordered beef. The girl who took the orders didnt smile even ones. When we got home, we found that the beef is big as 1/2 half of the palm of my hand, there was no onions and tomatoes slices as it says on the menu The pork had peach glaze, when I specifically requested it without the glaze. On top we got one garden salad, when we supposed to get two... read more

Cozy and relaxed – The Berkshire does serve premium quality prime rib. Our drinks and tasty warm bread (with olive oil/parsley sauce) were served promptly. This place offers lots of specials throughout the month, so check or call for the schedule. We went to nearby but now closed Barnaby's (Steak & Ale, Jolly Ox) for years. The Berkshire had an edge being closer to the hotel and similar quality. Our midweek casual anniversary dinner was very nice.

the gods of prime rib! – My fiance and I have had prime rib in lots of places, in fact the quality of their entree is generally how we rate a restaurant. And this is one of the best! Its crusted with black pepper and kosher salt; the horseradish sauce is just hot enough without being raw; and the only time you can't get it really rare is if you go in late at night. And the rest of the menu is great too! Its large and varied, lots of pasta, chicken, and salads. They dont water the drinks either. All in all a great place!
