This experience has been horrible. It seems that in America’s race to the bottom, the manufacturer, appliance store, and warranty company join forces to shaft the consumer, thereby contributing their share to the nightmare of home ownership. After a couple of overpriced yet still ineffectual repairs, that apparently constituted the limits of their liability since that had come close to reaching the retail price of the fridge. My experience with this company is same like everyone else. This company is a scam. We have bought extended warranty but when we claim they are telling us it's not covered. We are trying to contact them over a year but after some luck finally we were succeed. One of our sofa frame needs repair and futon springs are broken but they are telling us it's not covered in the insurance. Just filed a claim. Reply came to upload photos. In trying to do that their form would not allow me to insert my name or the claim number.. I was notified again that photos had not been received. I tried again with the same results. I sent a separate email twice and so far no response.
Safeware is the most difficult company I've ever had to deal with. They will not provide the coverage or service outlined in their policy - it’s been 6 months and I still haven’t had my couch fixed or replaced. I bought coverage for my couch and submitted a claim with Safeware for pet damage which was covered by the policy per the terms and conditions in the agreement. My experience with safeware furniture claims is much like everyone else's. The insurance is a scam. The people are rude, they lie, they drag their heels on the claims they guarantee to cover when you buy their garbage plan. Never again and I will be getting a full refund and filing a complaint with the attorney general.
In April I filed a claim for my loveseat. Safeware accepted the claim and I am still waiting for them to fix it. On May 14 I received an email saying that my parts have been ordered and please allow up to 8 weeks for delivery. This afternoon I contacted the company inquiring about my furniture. I was told that I was told that “Okay, so Weekends Only advised us that they shipped the part out on 6/26. I should also say that my laptop broke last year and Safeware fixed it in one month and the laptop lasted for one year after that.
I purchased a 4-year plan with Safeware (currently in year 3) and my experience with them has been an absolute nightmare. I sent them my laptop for repair in March. It took them four weeks to “fix” and send it back. Less than 3 weeks after they sent it back, it crashed, which I viewed as being the product of extremely unreliable service. bought Safeware insurance with laptop. Greatgrandson dumped a full glass of soda on keyboard while I was out of room. Safeware claim was easy to fill out. Prompt acceptance of claim and EFT payment when I returned defunct laptop. I had bought insurance thinking of my 26 year old granddaughter but it was her son that killed the laptop.
