The name is more than a bit misleading, as The Rusty Pelican, a popular seafood spot, is anything but run-down. The spacious dining room boasts a fabulous view of Biscayne Bay. A la carte entrees include steak, pasta and fresh, delicious seafood. The Sunday buffet brunch is one of the most popular in town, offering a variety of delicious dishes for a reasonable price. Come early to avoid the long wait for a good table.

Located on the Biscayne Bay, this surf-and-turf restaurant offers one of the best views in the city. – In Short Decorated with white-clothed tables and aquariums, this bay restaurant maintains a steady flow of diners throughout the day. The menu includes traditional steak and seafood items, like shrimp scampi and soft-shelled crab, and the popular Sunday brunch offers a selection of omelets and waffles. But the draw isn't so much the food as it is the view. Tourists and locals revel in panoramic views of Miami, visible from ... read more
Crusty Smellycan – The view is great, but I think I would rather go sit on a pier with a picnic basket, at least it would have smelled better; Rusty Pelican smelled like a musty basement. We had reservations and arrived on time, but had to wait almost an hour before being seated. Two unfortunate souls decided to have their wedding party there. The place was so loud, pumping annoying wedding reception tunes such as "YMCA". The lobster I ordered was tough and chewy. The valet had a horrible system of getting cars: they took a ... read more
GREAT FOOD...GREAT VIEW – The Sunday Brunch is excellent. Dinner is also delicious. It is a huge restaurant right on the water, so it offers enough space for a large party AND the views for an intimate night out. Again, the Sunday brunch is a "must try"
Come for Happy Hour, stay for dinner – I don't know who or why complained about the service here. I must have been to this place at least 30 times for Happy Hours, Lunch, Dinner and of course, one of the best, if not the best Sunday Brunch in South Florida. Yes, I know the views add a lot, and Miami lacks restaurants with this type of view, which alone make it a great place to go to. But the service....I have never encountered anything but extremely pleasant, willing to go the extra-mile-over-deliver-we-want-to-make-this-a-w... read more
Frantz's Idea – My first visit was, with the city of Miami. And i went there with this girl after couple weeks. She did not tell me anything about the restaurant.she went and tell her friends about the Pelican. I think this is the best place to take a real or high class female.

Truly Incredible Place – An incredible restaurant. I have been there for dinner and it was a great and very romantic experience. I got married @ the Rusty Pelican and I could not be happier ... the food was amazing, the service was great and the view was breathtaking. I got more compliments on my choice of location than you can imagine. I cannot wait to go back for my anniversary. No complaints. Everything was perfect!!!
Expensive but Worth It – Yes, the Rusty Pelican is expensive, but no more so than any comparable restaurant in Miami; and the view cannot be found anywhere else in the city (believe me, we looked while planning our wedding). The food is good, the bar/lounge is a nice place to relax and have a drink, and the staff is friendly and accomodating. We're getting married there, and I can't wait to see the look on the faces of my out-of-town guests when they see the view from both the ceremony and the ballroom.
What a view – You can't beat the downtown view, and the food was great. I took my girlfriend for Valentine's Day, and was pleased with their efficiency on the busy night. The food was great, but the rice was disappointing compared to the rest of the meal. There was a delay in our entrees, and was disappointed in the service when we had to pack our own leftovers.
