Dark, cozy, elegant and intimate, Russian Tea Time has only been here since 1993, however it has since become a Chicago treasure. Inside the elegant Mahogany and Birch dining room, the kitchen serves specialties from the former Soviet republics which includes every where from Tajikistan to Belarus. My first time eating here and now wishing that I hadn't waited so long. Amazing lunch and impeccable service. Hot currant tea was perfect on a chilly day. I will be returning in the near future since this was such a wonderful experience!
i discovered Russian Tea Time 17 years ago when I first attended an annual conference held in Chicago every fall. I have been back every year since - it has become an annual tradition that I just can't miss. The food is excellent and the ambiance is perfect - it feels like a step back in time to the 1960s yes but I just love the place!
