I highly recommend Orthopedic surgeon Dr Russell Cavallo as well as his entire staff team. He recently treated me for a 1 cm meniscus tear in my knee. EVERYTHING went well including the pre-operative appointments for diagnosis, the actual arthroscopic ("keyhole") surgery, and the post-operative appointments. It was great working with Dr C. I brought my elderly mother to Dr. Cavallo several times. She has been experiencing severe knee pain for quite some time. Dr. Cavallo was very patient and kind. He tried several treatments. I am pleased to say that she has finally felt some relief. The staff was also very kind to her. It was easy to schedule an appointment and there was little wait time. I would re commend Dr. Cavallo and his team, especially for elderly patients.

After treating my knee issue in the past, I went to him when I had suffered a bad pec injury. He quickly evaluated and recognized the seriousness of the injury, and the urgency to get it repaired. He ensured I got an urgent MRI scheduled ( called the imaging center himself), and an appointment to another surgeon within Stamford Health. He called me to check in after the MRI was done, and my pec was ultimately repaired because of his incredible sense of care and knowledge. Just a phenomenal doctor!

I can't recommend Dr. Cavallo highly enough. From the moment I first met him, his professionalism and personable nature were evident. I thought Dr. Cavallo and his staff were very nice and Dr. Cavallo was quite good. My low rating is due to the lack of transparency on services and costs associated with them. I needed an x-ray of my foot. The staff escorted me to what they called the "imaging suite" to have the x-rays done. I recently received the bill for my appoint and the "imaging suite" charged my insurance $850 for an x-ray of my foot with 3 views. I also found out that the "imaging suite" was not part of the doctors office but part of a hospital which... read more
